Preparation Course
- You choose and prepare a topic in advance
- Complete the official Topic Form before the test
- Bring your Topic Form and speak to the examiner about your chosen topic
- Examiner asks you questions about at least 4 points from your form
- You must ask the examiner at least one question about your topic
- You must complete the Topic Form to pass
- Speak naturally — this is a conversation
- Use Grade 5-level language
- Festivals
- Means of transport
- Special occasions (e.g. birthdays)
- Entertainment (cinema, TV, clubs)
- Music
- Recent personal experiences
- You’ll have a short, natural conversation about each topic.
- The examiner is testing your language, not your knowledge
- Use Grade 5 grammar and vocabulary
- Ask the examiner at least one question
- Keep the conversation natural and flowing
